A beautiful farm house near khim …

The word,”trekking” always gives me a high and when ever i get a chance to grab an opportunity to trek i never loose it. So this weekend was coined for alibaugh. My friends sister and her friend had planned this trip long back. So the group included my friend, her school friend, her sister, her sisters friend and me.
Why i am giving a full description of who all were there is because, the moment i started off my journey with these guys i never felt this was true. It felt as if i was going with my friends. This trip not only gave me so many things to learn but also some lovely friends, who are so simple and highly knowledgeable and they have no idea of how warm and loving they are.
May be that is how you define simplicity. :)
So i have broken this trip in two 2 parts, my first post will be on the farm house were we stayed and the second on the trek.
Here goes the first one :-
Buying something and maintaing something are two different things and when you maintain what you buy with so much of love and care, then that something attains a reflection of how beautiful your are from deep within. This description fits aptly for the farm house that  i got to stay in, in this trip. This farm house belongs to my friends sisters friends who was among us as mentioned earlier. Though i met her for the first time,  it never felt like it was the first time.:)
Early morning when i got up, from all the five of us she was the first one who had gotten up early and was sitting at the stairs of the veranda, silently adoring the beauty of the farm and the peace of the early morning light.
I was on the first floor veranda clicking photos, the moment i came down and she saw the camera in my hand, she took me to walk across the farm. In – spite of  being from an IT back ground she new the name of each and every plant we came across. There was a beautiful well and a cow shed with three cows. She entered the cow shed and lovingly embraced one of the cows.
When we came back to the house after a stroll, i was graced with a lovely cup of tea made with lemon grass and ginger. One of my other friend made amazing breakfast, though it was the usual maggi, bread omelet, chicken, dal, rise for lunch and dinner but the magical taste was poured in because we all helped each other while cooking. It was such fun. Then after dinner we used to have a cup of hot coffee and play trivial pursuit. Though my GK is weak but i enjoyed learning through the answers that everyone gave and the stories that came in while we all chatted.
The house was so beautifulyl done, that i was amazed by the amount of creativity that was flowing from every where. There was a collection of beautifully brought together furniture by her father and each and every furniture piece was so perfectly placed that it said, that he indeed has a love for it. There were few pottery barn products hanging on the walls which were beautiful done by her mom. There was also a painting stand, when asked she said, “she and her mom often like to paint”.
I was mesmerized and filled with respect by the beauty of the farm, the amount of creativity flowing every where in each and every object and the amount of love and warmth she and her parents had put in on their fram house to make it into a home.:)
Indeed it is so truly said,”home is were the heart is “.
Look through the photos to feel this incredibly brought together beauty :-
