Kutch Diversified

In my very first post  i posted about how i felt about the place and  rich heritage of Kutch , just few days back i landed up at a kutch stall in an exhibition at bandra west. I couldn't help but click pictures of the variety of bags the stall offered as i have a weakness for bags. All these bags are hand made.

Presenting to you another version of kutch :-

I found these interesting and very beautiful borders while clicking the bags, these will be excellent enhancement for Indian outfits.

Also my friend observed an interesting series with bags, bed sheets, cushion covers - find out at her fashion blog :-

May this rich heritage and tradition live for ever ...

Rebirth This Diwali ...

Here is a beautiful quote  by Deepak Chopra which reminded me of a set of pictures i clicked recently, for all my lovely readers:-

"Just as light brightens darkness, discovering inner fulfillment can eliminate any disorder or discomfort. This is truly the key to creating balance and harmony in every thing you do."

May this Diwali you gain rebirth of yourself with the discovery of the depths of your inner fulfillment :-
Happy Diwali :)

My Silent Beauties ...

Love only knows the language of "Silence", which is its most powerful and inevitable weapon. Time and life moves on but love remains the same and grows every day in it's essence to love more. The essence of love has no boundaries, it is infinite and keeps on loving forever .

The magical part is, it becomes a part of you and you don't realise that you can't do without it. When i was doing my graduation, my roommates were my only companions. When i came back home, these companions got packed in a bag and went underground. One day i was going through my stuff and found them. No matter i had moved on to a different set of living but they were still, smiling as ever as always to me ... My little silent roommates ...

Kalapi Unlimited ...

This upcoming designer, "Sonia Kalapi" has an unlimited love and passion for creativity. My earlier post was on how i did my shoot with her bags/clutches. Presenting to you her another version of creativity with my another post on  public relations photography on fashion :-

During the shoot which was done at the store, three most important points i learned about public relations photography on fashion were :-

1) Understand the soul of the subject/product.
2) Converse with the designer and the journalist/writer/blogger/freelance before the shoot.
3) Understand the concept in the mind of the journalist/writer/blogger/freelance doing the story on the subject and discuss the pictures and placement of the subject/product with him/her during the shoot. Thus enhance the whole shoot with your photography skills.
4)Carry four sheets of White/Black chart paper.
2)Scissors, sellotape.
3) A visit to a the location before the shoot, to check the availability of efficient lights.

After reading the above point and images see the images finally selected by  fashion blogger,"Megna" on her blog. -

Kalapi Limited Edition represents the vibrant free soul of the Indian youth of 21st century, A salute to the same through my pictures .
