The Dalai Lama – Unforgettable Smile

I am not worthy enough to put words for this amazing angel of God. Each word in this passage bows down to him with tribute. I was blessed to be selected for his lecture on ‘Ancient Wisdom, Modern Thought". From the time i entered the hall to the time he left, his gestures created a high volume of positive vibrations. The power in the simplicity of his words, kept every minute particle in the hall spell bounded.

It was nature’s magic as i was speechless and was jumping in achievement to receive his hand wave and a smile added with namaskar which he gave as a life cherishing gift as he left. Even today I can still see that smile with open eyes and feel the magic in his purity.

Indeed it was an Unforgettable Smile of a life time.

Mumbai University – An architectural treasure ...

I have seen many educational institutions, but was never taken aback by any architecture the way i got with Mumbai University’s, fort campus architecture. The beauty of the architectural work was just mesmerizing and created a feel good environment. The best part was, the campus area was kept so clean, and I felt as if I was in one of British universities.

I am so glad i visited the campus and proud of the authorities for maintaining and preserving this beautiful piece of architecture.

The University of Mumbai was founded by Dr John Wilson in 1857 and is modelled on the universities of Britain.

The beauty in "Trying"

Try Try because if u Try....

“Try” makes you meet a lot of aliens on your path of desires…
Which or who grind you with adventure…!!!!

“Try” still keeps you connected with the inevitable essence of faith and hope…
Because you are still going on with all your heart and soul…!!!!

“Try” makes you creative and intelligent ….
Because every time you “Try” it’s always a new “Try”…!!!!

Attainment of desires is just an idea of the mind…
It is the journey that makes it a deserving and beautiful reality…

And it is “Try” that makes the journey happen...

So enjoy “Trying”…!!$@!!

Just to love the purpose of being blessed with, "life"

Child labour is one of the biggest issues that our country is facing with today. But this victim of child labour is indeed an inspiration. In our struggle of life we forget and miss to cherish the beautiful gift of life. Imagin the life of this kid, no idea what holds for him in future still his smile speaks about how he knows to cherish and live the gift of life. His smile simply teaches us:-

Why is it so difficult for us to be and live the way we are….
Why can’t we follow what are mind says is right….
Why can’t we do things from heart….
Why can’t we live life from the heart….
Why can’t we follow our instincts….
Why do we loose our simplicity in the complexities of the world….
The theory to happiness is to just keep giving your best without expectations...
As happiness is not the success; it is the journey and we should live this journey like never before….

Creating the captured magic ...

Exhibitions at bandra west open ground are on my usual visit lists every month. Every exhibition brings with it the varied art and culture of India under one roof. But this recent exhibition named saras, gave me a chance to meet an art that is lost in the depths of India’s versatile art and culture.

Photography for me is to capture life in its most natural form but this group of housewives from a small village in Rajasthan create that same capture.

My salute, to the magical hands of the Indian women .

Chai Ki Tapri

"Hum rahe ya na rahe, yaad aayenge yeh pal", the greatest contribution in the making of those moments during college days goes to the chai and the Chai Ki Tapri. Even today when i look at a chai Ki tapri, it gives me a refreshing flash back of all those conflicting conversations, the fresh and enlightened laughter with the very first sip of the chai in the morning at the tapri, the evening stories with the dip of the biscuit in chai.

Even today the very sip of the chai at a tapri refreshes me with those magical moments i was blessed to spend with my friends.

"Hum ajj, kal aur hamesa hoge"

with love chai Ki Tapri

Chalti Ka Naam Mumbai

They say Mumbai never sleep, i say Mumbai finds a pleasant sleep in its work satisfaction. The versatility, creativity of work and a mad zeal to accomplish it can only be found in Mumbai. Here both living and non living creatures move faster than the speed of the bus in the movie, “speed" still they have time to identify and halt to get unique and super talented passengers on board.

"Keep going on and you are sure to touch what your heat desires", that is what the spirit of common man in Mumbai say with their never say die attitude.

Kala ghoda

"Kala Ghoda" a festival of celebration and recreating magic, is an initiation by the Times Of India group. When all cultures come together, to celebrate the versatility in their dances, music, art, boundaries of division are broken down to create an amphitheatre of integrity in mankind, were the finest talent producing moments are given birth.

This festival takes place every year at Fort, Mumbai. This festival is decorated with various street stalls, photography, installations run by Artists across the country. The flood of art, music, plays, dances, Children Activities, Book Readings from different cultures enjoys the limelight of every visitors eye.

As the makers of Kala ghoda rightly quote, “Welcome to 'One soul, one sound, one taste, one colour, one step, one beat and ONE WORLD’ and be a part of history of Kala Ghoda Festival.

My tribute to the richness of Kala Ghoda  soul.

Khaw gali ka Blue Lagoon

Instincts reply "summer" and visuals reply "the refreshing blue liquid" with the very sound of the word Blue Lagoon . That is what my instincts and visuals did when i was taken to a small narrow lane in parla(west), Mumbai. This lane named "Khaw Gali" by the college going students was flooded by them in a row parallel to a row of dosa, sandwich and drink stalls. A drink stall with large neatly placed bottles filled with different colours, neatly placed ice crushing machine, wet and swollen hands playing with the ice and flavours is what caught my eye. When i asked him, “Your hands don't feel the pain" i got the replay, “Madam it's been 15 years i have been quenching my customers thirst with a smile". Summers are approaching; you won't regret visiting this guy. I bet!!

Sult (Kumoun) with the morning rays of the Sun ....

Extending from the northern end of the Ganga plains right upto Tibet, Kumaon's endless panorama of scenic wonders is nothing short of a romance with untouched and soul-lifting nature itself.
I was got a chance to travel through its natural beauty and hit a small hilly area, almost an hour away from Jim Corbette called Sult . Those 2 days in Sult was a pure connection with the green and brown coloured dream coated mountains, beautiful rosette of dawns and dusks, blue ribbons of oblique rivers and breathtaking snow bed.
My tribute to this splendid Himalayan necklace with the infinite, magical  heights and depths, were the morning rays of  the Sun are redefined:-

With every morning rays of the sun....
It's a new day with an old reminder....
fresh sunshine grinding the depths of emptiness....
Glowing it's way out to the heights of hope, love and life....!!
